National Bird Of Bangladesh







A cute bird called doel is the national bird of Bangladesh. It is also known as Magpie Robin. Scientifically, it is called Copsychus Saularis. It is called in Bangladesh " DOEL". Its color is a mix of black and white. In rural area of Bangladesh the doel is frequently seen. Generally, Doel makes nest in the tropical southern Asia from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and East to China and Indonesia. The Doel is small in size and picky in movement. Doel makes nest in a hole or in a wall and lays 3-6 eggs which are incubated by both sexes. One of the brightest features of the doel is that it has an attractive whistle playing off and on. The doel does not fly very high and likes to stay close to the earth. It feeds on insects.
